In-Studio Class
With the recent announcement from Gov. Inslee regarding indoor training, we only allow maximum 5 participants. Participants signing up for in-studio workshop will be expected to check temperature when arrived at Dance Underground and WEAR MASKS at all time.

Virtual Class
Once you register, you’ll receive the Zoom Conference ID/Password so you can access the class from the comfort of your own home. Please make sure to DOWNLOAD ZOOM on your desktop (https://zoom.us/download) or mobile device (Zoom app) prior to start of class to avoid technical difficulties. We hope you invite your friends and family to sign up as well!

Please note:

Be sure you dance in a clear space and have a glass of water by your side to stay hydrated! For larger screen viewing, you can connect your laptop to your TV via HDMI, or mirror our device to your TV.

For the safety and comfort of our participants and instructors, only those that have pre-registered will be admitted into the virtual class. We ask that you keep your video camera ON throughout the class – you will be removed from the Zoom Conference if you do not adhere to this. About Shiny and Manjot

Shiny Malhotra

Dedicated, inspirational, loving and passionate best describe her. Shiny was influenced by music and dance at a very young age. She started learning and performing at the age of 6 years with Kathak being the first dance form she learned and performed on stage. With over 20+ years of experience in performing Bhangra, Giddha and Bollywood, Shiny brings great enthusiasm and vision in teaching Giddha to aspiring ladies of all age groups. Shiny has won many state level Bhangra and Giddha competitions in her college life and has experience in performing Bollywood with Shiamak Dawar’s dance group. Shiny’s enthusiastic approach of learning new dance forms and focusing on energy and expressions helped her get selected in Shiamak Dawar Performing Arts Academy in Mumbai, India but she chose to continue her education and I.T career as a Product Manager and start her family in U.S. Shiny was a key member of Rhythms of India dance school in Bellevue WA, where she taught Bollywood and Giddha to young kids and choreographed many performances. She loves to volunteer and choreograph multicultural performances for Elementary schools. Apart from dancing and choreographing, Shiny has done multiple multicultural fashion shows and won the 2010 Ms. Punjaban contest in Kent, WA. She is a loving wife and mom of 2 handsome boys Sartaj (7) and Dilraj (3). Shiny and her son Sartaj learn and perform Bhangra at ABC dance center and recently won the worldwide online dance contest in April 2020. In addition to dancing, Shiny loves to focus on health and fitness and is a big fan of Jillian Michaels and Autumn Calabrese workouts.

Manjot Kaur

Manjot began her dance journey at the age of 9 with Punjabi Folk Dance. She showcased her Giddha talent through family events and began learning other dance styles such as Bhangra and Bollywood. Manjot’s commitment to dance intentional choreographic creations is what fuels her performance onstage. Manjot won many state level and national level prizes in Punjabi folk and Bollywood dance. She continued to perform Giddha and do workshops while studying in University of Melbourne, Australia. She continued her passion after she moved to Seattle, WA and has been continuously performing Giddha at the Teej festival held in Kent every year. Manjot is a devoted wife and mother of two daughters Tazmin (7), Kainaat (4) and son Waris (2). Manjot’s daughter Tazmin gets her dancing genes from her mom and has done multiple performances at her school and other events. Manjot and her daughters also take interest in doing Bhangra and are proud members’ of ABC dance center. Manjot aspires to share her passion and experience of Indian culture and its values and denotes her giddha journey to her wonderful mentors, teachers, friends and family who give her endless energy and grace to perform. Apart from dance, Manjot is a health care professional and looks forward to stepping into the world of Business.
