It all began as a vision of one family to develop a quality, and most importantly, affordable math and reading program that would benefit children. Wendy Coppedge has been involved in supplemental education since 1991 when she enrolled her three children in the local math and reading center. She immediately witnessed first hand how daily practice built, not only concentration and fundamental skills, but also confidence. Two years later she opened her own center in Dallas. After ten years with a popular program, Wendy began to research more time-tested and effective ways to improve supplemental education for her clients. Gideon was born. Working with a group of educators around the country she and her husband built a program that is the result of experience and convincing techniques. Eight years later Gideon is still evolving to be the best math and reading program in the United States. Stephanie, her daughter, joined the Gideon team to help extend the higher math levels. Armed with a degree in mathematics, her years as a math tutor and certified secondary math teacher have proven invaluable in production of the curriculum and center management.
